Multi-million dollar partnership will extend broadband coverage to thousands in Burundi

International Telecoms & Technology company, NT Global, has announced a significant multi-year extension to its satellite broadband contract with Avanti.

NT Global will extend its capabilities in Burundi to meet growing demand for broadband among hundreds of public and private sector enterprises in the region, under its ISP services brand, Swiftsat. The company already deploys broadband services across the Great Lakes Region via Avanti’s HYLAS 2 satellite.

Having worked with Avanti for some time now, we had no hesitation in extending reach to a new market via the HYLAS 2 satellite. Together, we have created a dynamic and flexible solution for Burundi – a country whose demand for reliable and cost-effective broadband remains unmet.”

Vysakh R Nambiar, Managing Director at Swiftsat

Avanti brings perfect 100% broadband coverage to Burundi at high speeds and low cost. Our service provides the flexibility and quality to fully address the immediate demands of enterprises within the region. We are delighted to be part of NT Global’s growth story in Africa.”

Matthew O’Connor, Chief Operating Officer at Avanti
